Should You Test Tesco Recruitment?
from:Tesco is regarded as one of the food giants in the UK and elsewhere in the world. Its high profile and huge number of supermarket and garage outlets means that it employs a large number of staff. Tesco recruitment is not so much a hard sell as a softly softly approach to draw the punters in. Tesco say that they regard themselves as a family and that within their organization great emphasis is placed on mutual respect.
A lot of Tesco recruitment appears to take place on their website where they aim to give people a view of what it is like to work for Tesco and also promises to answer any questions they might have. Tesco is a global company with new stores opening all the time and so Tesco recruitment is an ongoing and important part of their business. Persuading people to work for them in places as far apart as Thailand and Turkey is essential to their ongoing global presence and hold on the market. Tesco claim that they have become a market leader because of the way they treat their clients and the people that work for them.
Tesco recruitment is an essential part of their big business and they promise that there is a role for everyone in this huge company. Tesco are quick to say that their business is more than just their shop floor staff and their lorry drivers (important though they are) – their head offices across the world are an important part of their business. This means that there are opportunities for people with sales and marketing expertise, design expertise and IT competencies. Tesco deal in personnel and property management in their head offices so they say that there are roles to suit all types of applicants.
Tesco recruitment information says that they are looking for people who are customer focused as that is the core of their business and for those types of people Tesco can open up a world of opportunity. The application process at Tesco will differ wildly depending on the type of vacancy you are looking for. If you want a picker’s job (pulling the right stock out of the warehouse) or a customer assistant vacancy then the website directs visitors to apply at their local store. Management vacancies are normally advertised on the website where you can download an application form. If that passes muster then you might be invited for an interview at their assessment centre in central London (they will pay traveling expenses). There is also a job search and apply centre on the website so you can find what vacancies are available in which location. All in all Tesco recruitment is, like everything else they do, well thought out and brightly packaged.
